How to recover deleted games
There is a program called iMyFone AnyRecover. It searches for old data that has been deleted but no completely viped from any harddrive or usb, and can retrieve it. I wholeheartedly recommend checking this program, it genuinely recovered files from 2013~ and I found a couple lost games this way. I think there is a trial version that allows you to retrieve a certain amount of data up to a point, I think a few gigabytes.
List of lost games
- Život je sviňa: The Stano's story (by R Team Productions) - a slovak point n click inspired by the život není krásný series. The plot had something to do with the main character's girlfriend leaving him, and the game was divided into four chapters. The graphics went better as the game went on, and I specifically remember a puzzle where a man in a jailcell was thirsty so you gave him a condom full of cum to drink (lmao). Image is only my crude redoing of what the protagonist looked like approximately.
Original slovak description of game:
Slovenská point 'n' click adventúra inšpirovaná sériou Život není krásný. Hra sa odohráva v roku 1998 v meste Carlocity. Zmocníte sa úlohy Stana Mátohu. Na začiatku sa s ním z neznámych príčin rozíde priateľka. Pôjde si trochu prečistiť hlavu, až kým nezistí, že sa vlámal do miestnej školy. Neskôr zistí, že je obvinený zo znásilnenia. Bude si musieť prejsť ,občas brutálnymi situáciami aby svoj život dostal do pôvodných koľají. Podobne ako Život není krásny, hra obsahuje dva konce. Veľkosť hry je 197 mb kvôli zvuku. Hra obsahuje slovenský dabing a titulky (Pri problémoch so zvukom v hre je potrebné odinštalovať si prehrávač QuickTime). Soundtrack je na oficiálnych stránkach zdarma na stiahnutie.
- Smile Ninja Picomaru - a series of shockwave games centered around an odd story of destiny concerning a little boy, Picomaru. the gameplay was different for each episode. This game is web-only, i tried to run it in chrome, edge, kmeleon, tried to run it standalone, best i achieved was in standalone, but it only put up the main intro graphic and said the rest of the game was loading (which it never did).
- ??? - A flash game mechanically similar to the GROW series - a puzzle game where you needed to place objects into a scene in a specific to cause the proper chain of events to occur.
It was drawn with crude stickmen, and had several parts, the first being defending a boat from things such as waterwhirls and pirates(?). Later on, there was a part where you defended a village from similar disasters (such as burning, I think).
After placing the objects, an epic cutscene would play out, showing all the events that ocurred as a result of us placing the objects. The same music always played, and would always play out before everything reset.
Image is a crude recreation of the part at the beginning where the main guy on a boat escapes the waterwhirl.
